On Saturday we attended the Hudson Valley Dance Festival in Catskill, sponsored by Dancers Responding to AIDS. Once again, Stanley and I were members of the host committee. Beginning with the pre-performance reception at 4 o’clock, at historic Catskill Point, we also once again had perfect weather, and the backdrop of Fall foliage on the Hudson River. The 350 seats were again sold out, and ticket sales and donations resulted in more than $125,000 being raised.
After wine and snacks, we moved inside for the performance. This time there were four companies, and each performance was special in a different way (all photos below are by Daniel Roberts):
After the stellar performance, we headed to the VIP reception at Catskill Mill on Main St. The food was far superior to the previous two years, and a good time was had by all.
